SMS Communication Terms and Conditions

By providing your mobile phone number to The Well Body Group, you consent to receive SMS (Short Message Service) text messages for the purposes of client communications, including but not limited to appointment reminders, scheduling updates, wellness check-ins, and occasional

clinic updates.

 

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our SMS services and your consent to receive

such communications in accordance with applicable laws, including:

• Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA)

• Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL)

• Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) (where applicable)

 

2. Consent

By opting in to receive SMS messages from The Well Body Group, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You are the authorized user of the mobile device and phone number provided.

• You consent to receive non-promotional and, where applicable, promotional SMS messages from The Well Body Group.

• Your consent is not a condition of receiving health care services and may be withdrawn at any time.

You may opt out of SMS messaging at any time by replying STOP to any message received.

You may also contact us directly to update or withdraw your consent.

3. Types of Messages

We may send SMS messages related to the following:

• Appointment confirmations, reminders, and cancellations

• Health and wellness check-ins

• Scheduling follow-ups or rescheduling notifications

• General clinic updates, such as changes to hours or services

• Occasional promotional offers, with express consent

No confidential personal health information will be communicated via SMS unless consent has been specifically obtained in writing.

4. Message Frequency and Costs

• Message frequency will vary based on your interaction with our clinic.

• Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile service provider.

• The Well Body Group is not responsible for any charges incurred from your mobile provider.

5. Privacy and Data Handling

Your mobile phone number and any associated data will be collected, stored, and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy and PIPEDA requirements. We will not sell, rent, or share your phone number or personal information with third parties without your explicit consent,

except as required by law.

To the extent permitted by law, The Well Body Group is not liable for any loss or damages (direct or indirect) arising from the use of SMS services, including but not limited to delays, undelivered messages, or errors in content.
