Shelby Williamson NP
Shelby is a certified Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner (NP-PHC) registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario. With over a decade of experience as a Registered Nurse she brings a wealth of knowledge from diverse healthcare settings including outpost nursing in rural Nunavut, pediatric care at the Hospital for Sick Children, and locally at Ross Memorial Hospital in the emergency and maternity units. These experiences have shaped her patient-centered approach, reinforcing her beliefs in proactive, preventative healthcare.
Shelby graduated from the University of Toronto with honours in 2024 gaining specialized education and clinical training to diagnose and treat medical conditions, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop personalized treatment plans. With a passion for chronic disease prevention and women’s health, Shelby integrates both western and functional medicine principles into her practice through an evidence-based approach focusing on root causes, lifestyle interventions, and personalized treatment strategies. Her goal is to empower patients to take control of their health with a focus on prevention, early intervention, and addressing the root cause of disease rather than just managing the symptoms.
To expand her expertise Shelby is pursuing a certification with the Menopause Society ensuring she provides the most up-to-date and comprehensive care for patients navigating hormonal changes from reproduction to menopause and beyond
Shelby will be joining our team on a part-time basis as she balances her career and with the joys of new motherhood having welcomed her first child in November. She looks forward to building relationships with her patients and supporting them on their journey to long-term health and wellness.
